There are three Horn Companies, each with its own packaging, packing and shipping specialties. Together, they are a one-stop resource for a full spectrum of protective packaging products and services, and for safe and efficient packing and shipping.

Horn International Packaging, Inc.

Packing Services

Horn International is the largest, best equipped, and most efficient packer of large equipment in New England. Our fully fire protected crating facility is TSA and FAA approved and ISO 9000 certified. We pack everything from single items to entire factories, at our facilities or at customer sites around the world. Services include advice on best methods, logistics, crating, packing rigging, documentation and freight forwarding.

Ocean Containerization

We are experts in loading intermodal containers for ocean shipments — maximizing container utilization and minimizing packing and shipping costs. Our services include rigorous inspection before loading; blocking, bracing and shoring; tamper-proof security; preparation of export documentation and content lists and schematics to expedite handling.

Hazardous Materials

We pack for truck, ocean and air transport in accordance with Federal and international regulations Our Hazmat employees are trained and certified to pack and provide all documentation, and we are certified to manufacture, test, and approve hazardous material containers for movement by land, sea and air.

Mil-Spec Packaging

We are experts in Mil-Spec packaging and packing, certified to level A/A through level C/C. We manufacture Mil-Spec crates and boxes, foam and packaging materials, and we do Mil-Spec marking, labeling and bar coding. We are authorized to process shipments and complete documents through Federal systems.

Horn International Forwarding, Inc.

Horn International Forwarding is a full-service company with special strengths in handling oversized cargoes and other out-of-the ordinary assignments. In addition to loading, transporting, and unloading, we provide complete documentation services, and our capabilities also include site staging, warehousing, and scheduling. Our shipping and forwarding logistic services include in-country trucking, oversize cargo handling, and crane and container loading. We work with more than 300 offices and agents in more than 75 countries around the world.

We are licensed by the Federal Maritime Commission and certified by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Protective Packaging Solutions

Horn Packaging Corporation has been a full service supplier of high quality protective packaging and shipping materials since 1943. We custom manufacture corrugated boxes, protective foams, and wood crates and skids. We also stock thousands of standard shipping supplies for immediate delivery from our catalog or on the Internet.

Design Engineering

We can provide design, testing and prototype options prior to production. Our design engineers work with state of the art CAD software, computerized prototype-cutting equipment, and electronic testing equipment. Our in-house testing laboratory has been certified by the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA).

Manufacturing

Custom manufactured products range from microflute to triple wall corrugated boxes, polyethelyne to polystyrene foams, and from small wood boxes to crates for huge “out of gauge” equipment. Whether you require 25 or 25,000 units, we are prepared to meet your needs.

Warehousing and Inventory Management

After your Horn products are manufactured, we store them for you in our 125,000 square foot warehouse—identified, inventoried, and ready for next day delivery.
